The new facility, it has been confirmed, is to be built for the world’s largest casino company, Caesars Entertainment Corporation.
Announcing the new development, Caesars chief executive Gary Loveman revealed that it would be called Caesars Palace Longmu Bay.
“This is the first step in the development of our Caesars brand in China and India,” he told the Associated Press.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the city of Macau and a gambling company reached an agreement which will allow the company to build a shopping district and gambling resort.
The firm has agreed to part with 1.55 billion patacas (£124 million) in return for prime real estate in the heart of the gambling-mad city of Macau.
As a result, the firm will soon be able to press ahead with plans for a casino and for shopping facilities.
